HISTORY OF THE GRAND POSTAL BUILDING
* The construction of the General Post Building began on 1 March 1935 and the Building was completed on 11 August 1939 during the reign of King Ananda Mahidol (Rama VIII.)
* It was formerly used to be post and telegraph service acceptance centre and also served as the Headquarters of Post and Telegraph Office.
* The five-storey T-shaped building was designed by Phra Saroj Rattana Nimman and Mr. Jitsen (Mew) Aphaiwong in the neoclassical style.
* The newly renovated building was officially reopened on 4 August 2013 by HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
